Fundraising

Background:
In February 2008 the Alumni Association of Alpha Gamma Rho initiated an ambitious fund raising program to allow the purchase of the former TKE house, located at 745 Nez Perce Dr, from the University of Idaho
Goals:
Barber Pole Our goal is to raise $500,000 for the purchase of the new AGR house by September 2009 and have $250,000 on hand by September 2008 for closing on the purchase of the house.
Our goal is to raise $400,000 of this $500,000 through the pledge program. In making a pledge of an amount of $2,500 or more, one will obtain naming rights for a room of portion of a room in the house (see pledge page below).
We intend to raise approximately $100,000 thru the brick fundraising program. Bricks will be placed in the walkway leading to the house.  Exact location has not yet been determined.
Additional funds will be raised through our other fundraisers such as the homecoming auction, dinners and undergraduate fundraisers.
You can monitor our progress at this site.
Tax Deductible and Non-tax Deductible:
There are two different types of moneys that will be used for purchase and renovation of the new AGR house, non-tax deductible and tax deductible. Non-tax deductible donations go directly to the Idaho Alumni Association of Alpha Gamma Rho, Inc., in a money market fund managed by D. A. Davidson. Tax deductible gifts are controlled by the National fraternity in the Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho – Beta Phi Housing Fund account.
Tax deductible donations will not be accessible to the alumni board until housing renovations are complete. Once housing renovations are complete, and the brothers have moved in, the alumni board will be able to reimbursed from the tax deductible account for items that went directly toward scholastics (computers, day room desks, etc..).
Non-tax deductible donations are readily accessible by the alumni association and will be used during the construction project for such items as down payments, paying contractors, and insurance. Since tax deductible donations will not be accessible until work is complete, the preferred donations are non-tax deductible, although whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Other Donations:
As mentioned above, there are other ways to donate. Yearly we have a homecoming auction in which items are donated and bid on by those in attendance. Things that have been donated in years past have been meat (pork and beef), log furniture, firewood, AGR paraphernalia, and hours of labor. If you have anything you would like to donate please give Glenn Poxlietner a call/email at (208)962-5937 or gpox@isp.com or Jon Belden at (360)674-7092 beld4565@hotmail.comThis year homecoming will be October 25, 2008.
We will also be looking for donations of building materials for the new house. The exact list of items is not known yet (since the architectural plans will not be completed until this summer), however it is known that we will need lumber, concrete, windows, drywall, carpet/flooring, bathroom fixtures and many other things. If you would like to donate any of these items, or have questions about items that can be donated, please contact Jon Belden at (360)674-7092 or by email at beld4565@hotmail.com.
On the sub-links below you will find more information about our brick and pledge fundraising program along with the points of contact for each program.
